Agreed. If we are going to waste hundreds of billions every year, I'd prefer we build novelty/new things like submersible carriers or perhap a space ship/carrier. Wasting so much money on useless shit to make defense contractors money is silly and evil. Useless military hardware isn't going to feed, cloth or shelter the people. It's actually taking food, clothing, shelter away from the people.
