I wouldn't read too much into what the Sun has to say as this contradicts what Mrs Barret said here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8303983.stm

"Ms Barrett said the black-and-white image would only be seen by one officer in a remote location before it was deleted."

The interesting bit being "remote location", how would she have been able to hear him?
