This is really weird and defensive from Slack. Instead of telling Microsoft how to do their job, do it better and kick their ass. As a wise man once said, actions speak louder than words.
This definitely has an air of defensiveness to it. I'm not sure why Slack would choose to position themselves in this way; it's not what I'd expect from the market leader in their space.
