Again - logic fail.
Just because you block ads, does not mean that the world is freaking out over in-app ads.
99% of people do not root their phones.
95% of people do not even use ad-blockers. Get outside your bubble, there are many users, but your mother and sister are probably not among them.
Your comment about 'asserting your right over your phone' is naive and besides the point.
What about company ABC's ability to not distribute the app that thy made unless there's an add in it. Have you read the privacy agreement on the site? It would be very easy for them to include a blurb: "You can have this content for free but it must be unaltered" or something of the like? Then what?
Why do you think you have the right to take someone else's stuff on your own terms - just because you can get away with it?
But more importantly - why do you think that 99% of content sites - which are ad-based or pay-based - will still exist when the whole world exerts 'their right to block ads' as you seem to think you have?
Which part of 1 + 1 = 2 do you you not grasp?
Someone has to pay for the content that is created.
Visit your top 10 favourite web-sites - and then do the mental calculation: "Who will pay for this if there are no ads and I don't pay?"
It's such a laughably simple concept.
