Last time I got a filling done the dentist gave me the local, but it just wasn't effective. He gave me a couple extra doses to get things numb enough and it was bearable pain. I can't imagine how horrible it would have been without anything. That dentist sounds like an ignorant monster.

Oh, and after my face was super numb because I had so much of anesthetic. It just took a while to really kcik in.
