I saw Pan's Labyrinth with a Finn. There was a civil war about a century ago in Finland.

Her reaction was -- "Totally unrealistic -- a side in a civil war that doesn't do revenge atrocities?" She didn't have any reaction like that to the fantasy monsters or anything else.
