I still use my T23 every day, it just keeps going. My dad's been through 3 in that time. His A40 Satellite was abysmal. When he brought it to me a year after purchase, I found it had so much Toshiba pre-loaded shovelware that it was swapping out before finishing booting! I cleaned it up for him but it's never been very good (except when he left it with me and I put Debian on it!).
