Having regulations doesn't turn this country into a "state-run economy". Is America currently a state-run economy because of the existence of the FDA, the USDA, etc? What are these countries you believe have no regulations, and have "produced virtually all the wealth we see around us"?

In general, please try to make your point in a way that doesn't assume people who disagree with you are ignorant or stupid. Nobody here is saying that regulation makes everything better. It's a strawman.
