The reality is, everything comes down to luck. We are all ultimately a product of our genes plus our conditioning, neither of which we control. And any decisions we make are a function of those two things, so they are also out of our control.

I'm always surprised how few people are willing to just come out and say this (to me very obvious) truth.

It's rare enough that I feel the need to express some kind of solidarity / comraderie to someone else dated to look at the world the same way.
