They lack vision, they lack leadership and they lack determination. If anything Theil was right about Google all along. Google stopped being a tech company long ago and became infested with this weird sub-culture of pushing agendas left and right. I guess we shouldn't be surprised when a powerful platform such as this gets hijacked from within by extremist people who all think alike and act alike (See the Damore case).
