What the did I just watch. Is HN reddit now?

I have no idea why it's on the site. Content is complete clickbait, the whole interview is a sham. Skip to 5 mins in and interviewees + the audience all stand up and start synchronized dancing.

I love how they tell their stories, like they even matter. 3 lucky dudes, nothing more.

Millions of people on this earth have bet $600 on way more credible ventures than Bitcoin (from a 2010 perspective) and come out with diddly.

Maybe next time you should watch the actual video before commenting.

P.S.: it’s a troll.

Does anyone have information about this? What is happening at this event?

Are you referring to the 4 minute mark? What was that. SPOILER: wouldn't expect protesters at Upfront Summit.

Edit: Had paused it after the outburst. Just finished the video. Mark at it again.

Cryptocurrencies are not an "asset class" but a new technology that will ultimately replace all other financial instruments. ICOs will replace the entire VC industry.

Watching VCs struggle to involve themselves in an industry that has no need of them is a truly guilt-free schadenfreude experience.

Marc Andreessen said it better than anyone: software is eating the world. VC is what's for dinner.
