I'm not sure there's any obligation on the author of this article; if there's any, it's on the party that authorised the document to be released in the state it's in. You can be sure that the high-level "bad guys" (for anybody's definition of bad) did the same thing the author did.

That said, it seems remarkably heavy-handed to censor in this case, assuming that "four" is the missing text and if the 4 names match those given later - Papadoupolous, Flynn, Page and Manafort.

We obviously know about all of those already - although I suppose there could be some use in concealing when exactly investigations were opened into them.
