The responders seem to forget that the video content providers paid their ISP bills as well for their internet connectivity.

They paid akamai and level3 for CDN. They paid amazon aws or google gcp for the bandwidth costs.

In case of Netflix OpenConnect gave ISP's an option to reduce traffic at exchanges.

The person that watched Netflix paid her ISP bill. Netflix paid its ISP bill.

Now, the ISP of that lady wants to charge Netflix also. For what?
