I'm on startup #8.

I would be retired if I just worked the last 25 years instead of doing startups.

Startups are fun though, working at corporate jobs is so soul sucking I can barely do it for the time frames between startups.

If I'd just followed the safe path, I would have totally regretted not trying to go out on my own. My only regret is marrying a terrible person the first time around, crapped out on that one :-/
