Ask HN: What do you want in BIOS/BMC functionality on a server?

Hello HN,

the startup I work for has asked me to spec out BIOS/BMC features, and I have a few open questions that I want to get a sense for. The survey is short and to the point, with the option to leave more elaborate feedback.

I'd greatly appreciate people in devops positions working with physical hardware to take five minutes and give me their very valued input.

Feedback and general discussion on what a server BIOS and BMC firmware should be able to do is also very welcome.
