I am from the EU (Bulgaria) and I definitely understand what you mean. People in the US are way more woke and in my experience better team players than people in the EU. I’ve worked with people from most EU countries and they tend to be somewhat more conservative and it feels like they alienate from each other easily when in a team. Don’t get me wrong you still get things done but I’ve had way more connection talking to my colleagues in the US and the atmosphere is more liberating. I think that Eastern Europe is definitely closer to the US way of thinking than Western. I highly recommend you first move to say Prague or Sofia and see if you like it, then aim for the US. Hey we might even have a beer at some point!
