Background
Poker became widely accepted as a game of skill at the same time as it made its way online. The analytic audience it has managed to attract over the years has spawned a new market of online poker tracking and analysis software. Today, it’s not unusual for a single player to have logged millions of plays into a locally stored database using easy to use software available to anyone. Players compile these databases with the purpose of gaining a higher understanding of their own and others playing styles, through reviewing and analyzing the data in different ways. The methods of data collection and storage are very mature. The methods of analyzing said data are not.
Problem
Users are restricted to predefined interfaces and are over-encumbered with numbers in tables, with no way of testing an original hypothesis without having in-depth knowledge of database software and the specific database schema.
Desired output
A new concept or framework describing how a user could visualize the complex data through an easy-to-use and flexible web interface. Design and implemantation of a web application.
