There's also a disposable culture around the resources involved. A mentor of mine always says "You can have it, but if you break it then you get to keep both pieces". Without value in the broken pieces, no one needs to clean up their own messes anymore, so there's no need to move carefully or fail gracefully. If you trash your dev env, or even your workstation, it's trivial to roll back or redeploy and get back to work. Management is in on it too. Rather than hire more careful devs, it's easier to just move the explosions farther away from prod, and limit the blast radius. CI/CD
