Thats a lovely bed time story, to go with this lovely opinion piece.

However.

Perhaps fly your proud American flag a little lower, and little bit more respectfully; none of the things you’re suggesting are or will happen.

This (including the article) is a lot of political posturing which may have some tangible effect, but it will be slow, minimal and ultimately blunted by pragmatism from level heads on both sides.

The chinese may lose face and make some concessions, but youre fooling yourself if you think the factories in china will magically close, or jobs will magically appear in manufacturing in the US as a result.

This kind of populist rehtoric you’re posting is harmful to thoughtful dialogue.

I like to think the crowd here is better than that, but its the sort of contentious stuff that riles people up, and you can see that from the epic downvote fest already appearing.

Come on mods, this is pure politics, why is it on the front page?
