This is dumb. FP isn't going to get you 10% improvement in any metric related to code. Not that I think you shouldn't use Functional style, you definitely should. But as far as a "secret weapon" goes, the only thing I can say is that if you hire developers who know to do this, then you're already hiring good people who can get things done in any technology.
