And if you actually USED late 90's Gimp you'd know that there are so few buttons because there weren't actually any tools. Gimp was a complete joke and so feature-incomplete compared to Photosop, Paintshop, Corel Draw, or anything else that the only people that used it were literally too damn poor to afford other software or too ideologically driven to ever use closed source.
