2 out 4 people I know who owns Tesla boast about Autopilot, and think they can do everything other than focussing on the road. One knows very well that Autopilot is marketing bullshit. 4th person wants to believe in Autopilot, but hasn't trusted the system after looking at the aftermath of horrible crash on 101 in the bay area.

Tesla is definitely not making any effort to not misled people, and there are enough tech-bros who are willing to fall for any bullshit in the name of technology.
