I think that directly participating in a system that prices people out of homes by purchasing a multi-million dollar unnecssarily luxurious home is absolutely blame-worthy.

I'm not even from the US but I still know that a ~two million dollar home in Manhattan is far from "unnecessarily luxurious". That's just a basic if large apartment.

The article headline literally says "luxury condo".

I think a successful tech entrepreneur wanting a 2b apartment is not blame-worthy, certainly not something that warrants an extra-judicial murder.

Unfortunately the article mentioning the cost of the apartment elicit these types of "good riddance" and "down with the 'rich'" responses.

How so? The other guy that wanted to buy the apartment offered 2.399m, so offering 2.4m was the lowest possible price to buy it. What's "blame worthy" about it?
