I don't think people would want to enter their expenses manually. It is 2020, there are much better alternatives that you can explore. There are already apps that scrape data or gather spend data using SMS notifications etc.

It's for users who don't want to connect any of their bank accounts etc. to these kind of services. A possible feature is to import a csv and automatically add all the expenses.

A big part of the world does not have access to such automation.

Would be good to see more currencies (am from NZ), although not sure if it actually matters for most purposes.

More currencies can definitely be added if needed!

Very cool, does it support multiple currencies in the same account or just one currency per account?

spendyt|5 years ago

At this moment only one currency per account. Would multiple currencies be interesting for some people?

Is this something that could possibly be self-hosted?

Haven't thought about it.

Why the register?. +1 for demo without registration

spendyt|5 years ago

Registration is needed so you can add your expenses to a personal account. But you only need to fill in a username, email is not required. We're also looking into adding a demo video on the landing page.

It's really easy to use and there's no commitment. You only need a username and you're ready to go. Perfect for people who want to start keeping track of their expenses.
