In [1] Brian Kernighan interviews Ken Thompson, who's wearing a t-shirt which contains the relevant snippet along with a comment "ΕΠΙΤΕΛΟΥΣ ΤΟ ΚΑΤΑΛΑΒΑ!" (greek for 'I finally understood it!').
