Don’t want to be that guy but why is this trending on the front page? This is a very basic rudimentary page a particular transistor - nothing interesting like Ken Sheriff’s analysis or Ben Eater’s videos.
It is not trending on the front page, at least, not yet. It has only received 18 upvotes in two hours. Just because something is on the home page at a moment, doesn't mean it's trending. It only means that the system wants to test the reactions of the readers, it can appear as fast as it disappears. If you find it's not interesting, ignore and move on.
This would be a nicer summary if it wasn't, you know, quite so wrong... or so hard to read....
To pick just one example, Philips Semiconductor disappeared two corporate reorganizations ago, and was never all that interested in making the 2N2222... they have always preferred the BC series.
And the guy's name wasn't "Wlater".
I'll stop there, lest my blood pressure rise too high.
