Will there be any brains left to communicate with this interface by then? Can't we just make a pill that makes me want to buy things and skip out on this pervasive future?

It sounds like a great application for medical issues but does every consumer need one? The quotes from the guy from Magic Leap don't give me any hope that this won't be used to further program our race into some mindless consuming turds.

I wish I could sit and hype and wonder if/what can be done, but does anyone around these 'pioneers' ever ask them if they should?
