This high degree of vertical integration with Apple being the sole source of the highly integrated CPU can bypass the Intel premium and allow them to gain market share that their earlier higher prices lost them. Many pro people bought Apple for video etc, however, many others had smaller budgets and went Intel/AMD - people like me. I found myself thinking about buying an M1 mini after I watched that video.
