I have considered doing this exact thing. Any tips?

One thing I've wondered about is if there is even any pager network coverage where I live. I suspect yes but I don't know of any coverage maps or that sort of thing.

Coverage is good in all us metro areas. directpage has good coverage maps as there's basically only two networks these days
