I mean, I've been working in VR for years and it's really not that hard to stick a Vive tracker on a pair of 3D glasses. But what if you wanted 2 or more people to look at the same screen?

This is why I think things like Looking Glass or Google's Project Starline (probably using something similar to Looking Glass) seem more interesting. Though I haven't gotten to play with one yet and they're much more intensive to run than something like this.

This looks awesome! I hope they can find an audience and make it affordable. I was disappointed 3D games for PS3 & PS4 never became as popular as I'd hoped. I really enjoy VR, but the current resolutions still aren't great and I still get VR sickness too easily. Would love to use something like this.

I’d love to play with one but I’m curious why they decided to invest hardware over eye location tracking via camera - as that’s ultimately the way this technology will evolve

Makes me want to explore to see what’s possible with out-of-the-box face tracking technology today

Visual face tracking comes with a latency penalty, but good head tracking is possible out of the box on laptops with infrared cameras; all you need is a clip with some retroreflectors.
