I got burned by a bunch of bugs in Vagrant years ago that were easy to fix, but HashiCorp just neglected the project completely. I was using multiple awful workarounds.

After that experience, they just felt like the Google of infra products, and I decided never to use them again.

I'm not sure if things have changed or not, but for something as vital as infra, I just need something that has excellent support, probably by a large company if we're being honest.

well I also would not use nomad, because they claim it's so much more easier than k8s, when there is k3s... and k8s has so much less niche factor.

however vault and terraform are insane products. you should definitly check them out.

While I agree, it's fascinating that they lead with the two technologies that everyone already forgot two years ago.

Personally, I'm fantasizing about building a community project that would build easy to start Hashicorp stack clusters.
