Side note, but what's with the trend of people saying/spelling "biased" as "bias"? Is it just because the "-sed" in "biased" kind of blends together when pronounced / is awkward to clearly separate, so eventually some people just think that's what the word is? (I know a lot of words across many/all languages develop that way, so not really complaining, but when you're in the midst of it it feels a bit weird.)
I predict it will do about as well as Parler or Gab. Meaning: it’ll burn money from deep pockets for political motives but never make a profit unless it becomes part of some campaign grifting scheme.
No one can afford to moderate a social network that attracts a small group of people requiring a disproportionate amount of moderation.
Moderate enough and it’s both too expensive and not seen as “free speech” enough by the target audience. Moderate too little and you’ll expose yourself to legal risk and you’ll struggle to find hosting.
Summary of the allegation for anyone who doesn't want to click:
>The court filing in question stated that Delgado had been informed that Miller had an affair with a “Jane Doe”; that this other woman became pregnant; that shortly thereafter, Miller visited the woman’s apartment with a smoothie; and that unbeknownst to Jane Doe, the smoothie contained an abortion pill, which induced an abortion.
>Krueger’s article reads, in part, “Additionally, the court documents claim, when the woman found out she was pregnant, Miller surreptitiously dosed her with an abortion pill without her knowledge, leading, the woman claims, to the pregnancy’s termination and nearly her death.”
I tried to register for this, partly to check it out and partly to reserve a minimum length (5) name just in case. Sadly, my confirmation email never came through after about an hour of waiting and multiple retries.

Reminds me of this koan:
In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky.
“I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied.
“Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky.
“I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes.
“Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

1. This is an "source available" project, they published with sourcemaps on: https://twitter.com/adgodev/status/1410667547335217169
2. They copy a lot of content (images + posts) from Twitter itself. For example, they hotlink images from Twitter: https://twitter.com/z3dster/status/1410654138921279499
3. They will be enforcing moderation practices to remove "objectionable material of any kind" per their user agreement.

We have seen this before.
