I came for the memory footprint but I stayed with Rust for this. Rust became my daily-driver for hobby projects because refactoring and tinkering with old projects is a breeze. For me, Rust projects don't seem to require much cognitive burden to load into my human memory. I do not claim that this quality is unique to Rust however it is very much present in Rust.
