I come to the beach in SoCal to surf and relax in the company of seals birds and dolphins. There are still plenty, but often accompanied by:

- airplane banner ads

- squadron of some extremely expensive military craft going nowhere for no reason

Funny how as I kid I used to think those would be cool jobs. How jaded and bitter I've become!

Oh and all the willpower it took for me to not raise two middle fingers at that duo of parasailers who kept buzzing and dive bombing the lineup. At least they were out there for fun not profit.
