Wall Street Is Paying over $100K to Junior Bankers. For Many, That's Not Enough

It's true. It is never enough. If $100K+ a year is not enough why not build a startup instead? I'm sure she is clever enough to do just that given being a Stanford graduate whilst being an ex-JP Morgan banker.

Must have lots of connections being made at those two institutions to 'change the world'.

Facebook of all places. That is even worse and taking a reduced pay as well.

So what is the whole point of it all when you can both make significantly more by building a startup whilst also doing what you love at the same time? Why do you need to compromise with a pay cut?

I think that after the pandemic most people realized that having a life outside work is better. Sometimes it's better to have less money but have a better quality of life. That's why I personally don't like really big cities, yeah the pay is better but you have to think about the stress wuth living in a big place.
