When compared with the risk profile of covid for these age groups, it tells a very different story than you are suggesting. For older groups the risk of covid hospitalization/death is much higher. For the younger, especially under 18, the risk in this table is much higher (than the risk for COVID complications). Also keep in mind this is just one vaccine complication of many, and that the complications reported in VAERS are incomplete.
