It's an unusual situation because the document I think pretty badly misrepresents what happened right up until Peter LOST HIS ENTIRE MIND. In particular, Brendan Dube is a well-known stupid prick on the slack and he was being a stupid prick in this particular conversation. Peter's initial response was well-deserved but oh man did he lose it afterward.

Is there an explanation of this story for those of us who don't know this person or why he was banned?

He mentions on Twitter that he was banned from Discord for excessive cursing. I'm not clear what the point of this is.

Agreed, there is not enough context to even know why this is newsworthy. Why should we care?

I recognize him for his efforts to bring Go to the enterprise world with https://gokit.io/ and public speaking, rooting for Go, when Go was not as prominent as it is today.

I don’t know the reasons why he got banned, but it feels irritating to ban such a prominent figure.

> You might think that just because you're a beta male that chastises everyone on every internet forum about 'muh sexism' to win points with the girls, even though they'll never fuck you cause you're beta, you're immune but this is proof that it is not the case.

wtf is this drivel? Please keep your incel worldviews away from hackernews.
