Agreed actually, I don't use the 'spaces' feature other than for fullscreen PDF reading.
For me, BetterTouchTool is a godsend though, i can use the trackpad to 'grab' and 'resize' windows without hunting for the little <-> thing that's for some reason 0.5 pixels wide :D. BTT implements all of Windows' snappy edges and corners and whatnot.
I use Raycast (https://www.raycast.com/) as a cmd+space replacement and it's great and quick too
MacOS is strangely more customizable than a lot of things

Let's see... it lets you change accent colors, which puts it just ahead of my toaster but behind my car's infotainment dashboard in terms of customization. So you're not wrong, unless you're specifically talking about the context of operating systems.
I use Hyperdock https://bahoom.com/hyperdock
for macOS windows splitscreen and other features that makes the experience very very good and more similiar to windowsOS
Agree, stock MacOS window management is really annoying. I’ve been using Rectangle to do split screen and maximizing windows, and I never had a problem since.
