I make a monthly donation to charity: water that I believe directly impacts the life of some ~20 people in South America, Africa, and Asia who otherwise wouldn't be able to access clean drinking water.
It's not like I created the charity, so I don't think I'm some superhero for doing the minimal thing of giving them some of my hard-earned money, but I do think the charity is making a difference in real peoples' lives.
