Ask HN: Are AWS Certifications worth it?

I'm a junior software developer looking to move into devOps and I'm wondering if anyone thinks that AWS Certifications are worth it. Specifically the 'Foundational' certificate, the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner [1].

The sample questions [2] for the certification seem too easy for the certificate to be meaningful (you can get 100% by picking the name of the service that seems vaguely connected) but sometimes certifications are valued just to show that you're actually interested in an area.
