Pretty annoying it requires a proprietary phone app vs just being standalone hardware.

They have over a dozen trackers including TikTok on the marketing page so it should be expected they will be even more invasive if they have privileges on my phone.

This means I have to buy and carry a second phone just for this in order to maintain any reasonable expectation of privacy.

Yeah, it's a bummer because that is maybe the only factor that would prevent me from buying it despite:

1. lower resolution than quest 2

2. higher price

3. no PC tether yet available

4. no controllers

It's amazing what trade-offs I'd make to not be tied to a Facebook account, but being tied to an Android device is less invasive than FB maybe but a level of inconvenience above what I'm willing to do.

I'm curious. I saw an article the other day about VR for a workspace (using a Quest 2) and I'll admit, it got me thinking. It seems like there's some of that here but also for concerts and yoga? I feel like there's some mixed marketing here.
