Surely, Google knows that Pinterest gamed the algorithm and made image search a total farce.

So I wonder why is Google choosing not to ban Pinterest?

I wish Pinterest would buy tineye, it wouldn’t be so bad if the pins pointed to the original source (and dropping the login-wall…)

Hopefully it'll never happen: Pinterest has no intention of letting users find better sources for the images; if they bought Tineye they would either kill it or make it point the first result pages to images hosted on Pinterest.
