Awesome. As a kid I loved the aesthetic and sense of wonder and mystery of Little Big Adventure (though I've always found it frustrating to actually play). It's always neat to peel back the curtain to see what makes the classics tick, and great that it can now easily be ported and live on in perpetuity. Long live open source!
I remember getting pirate copy from a friend (post soviet bloc country, software copyright law was passed in 1994!), starting it up, discovering tank controls and immediately deleting. Some things are just a bridge too far.
Holy crap, I played this at my friend's house as a child. My main memory of that game is how horrible the English voice actor was when trying to sing and I vaguely remember the ball dynamic and having issues with it being buggier in the second game, maybe. Anyway this is awesome and I wish more developers did this.
In highschool my best friend and I discovered LBA and fell in love with it. I'd love to play it again sometime. And look forward to reading more about it. I had completely forgotten about it until now!
