In a conference from 1959 called the “Energy and Man” symposium, held at Columbia University in New York was a speech from a famous scientist, Edward Teller (who helped invent the hydrogen bomb), warning the industry executives and others assembled of global warming.
“Whenever you burn conventional fuel,” Teller explained, “you create carbon dioxide. … Its presence in the atmosphere causes a greenhouse effect.” If the world kept using fossil fuels, the ice caps would begin to melt, raising sea levels. Eventually, “all the coastal cities would be covered,” he warned.
1959!
The chemical reaction of burning and its products are not in question, neither is the radiative effect of 'green house gasses'. Although of some practical concern by itself in another context, the ice-caps potential melting in the future is also not the issue of the posted video.
Senator Donalds is addressing with great skill and wisdom, in my view, the principles which hold the US together. It is about the means of how to achieve the desired policies calling out on processes (as he sees it) which should be foreign to not only citizens of the US, but in fact to all people who value civility (duty and law) over the totalitarian rule of law (no matter its outwardly stated intentions).
.. of cause, it is up for debate whether people should/would prefer to live by permission rather than by predominantly by self-determination. But that seems not to be even getting through, rather automatic assumptions launch a defense of the green-house effect.
Seems you relieved yourself in the wrong place. The straw-man you regurgitated here is not the point in the least.
It seems the combination of "oil" and "execs" is your trigger under which some ball of dark emotions freely bypass any reasoning capability you might have.
