Edit: it also looks as though your account has been using HN primarily for ideological battle. We ban accounts that do that, regardless of which ideology they're battling for or against, because it destroys what this site is supposed to be for. Yea it's all very interesting. Especially considering the lethality of the virus. Humans are very short sited and the public health officials have basically put all the eggs in one basket. Now when an actually deadly virus comes along we're probably screwed.
