Well, let's see: Everyone says the world is gonna end, and you can't do anything about it, but it's Your Fault. All the adults and institutions around you are either palpably insane or ludicrously corrupt and self serving. "Question Authority" became "Trust the Science or Else"

The TV preachers of 30 years ago at least knew when they were lying. The people we're holding up as "leaders" today can no longer see a difference between reality and their justifications for whichever notion they've decided will give them the most gain, today. They may know they're lying but they don't believe there is any Truth so what's the difference?

That seriously bugs me because I reject the sentiment but it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy if overzealous individuals kill liberties left and right. Additionally to moral panics induced by irrational fears that is not to be underestimated. But a difficult and partially contradictory position for not falling into the same trap.

You forgot “according to fact-checkers”. Seriously one of, if not the worst creation of the news media complex from the past few years. I don’t know how they think that fools anyone.

I read this and heard Bill Hicks, yelling, and it was great

Edit: You're great, too!
