Levin was right and always has been. The arbitrary “big claims deserve big evidence” standard is preventing him from getting credit. Why is it a big claim that there was microbial life on Mars? Because competing more famous scientists say so on the basis of Christian biases that even modern astrobiology can’t seem to weed out.
