Fake game? It's an immersive environment. My wife was harassed in Rec Room, a game that looks like it's for kids, it definitely was not comfortable.
People are going to get triggered differently just as some may have by headlines on HN, and feel the need to make a throwaway to protect themselves against internet comments

Actions have consequences, no matter the medium (physical or digital).
Where is the line drawn between "real" and "fake"? Who gets to determine that line? Who gets to decide if that line was crossed?
Where does it say that it is "meant to be an escape"?
"going to be harassed", most likely, but does it have to be that way, no.
I argue the harassers are the ones who are not mature and need to grow up.
