This is such a huge and rich subculture that is like 90s hacking all over again. When I showed someone my rig with the qubit fractal sequencer, the makenoise Maths function generator, and the mordax oscilloscope module among others, they asked how I made music with them, and I was like, "Music?"

The oscilloscope made the difference with the Maths, as matching the sound change to the x/y on the scope made more sense, and now I'm using it to sculpt drum sounds, but may see if I can use it to learn glitching circuits for key extraction as well. Discovering eurorack after spending a few years in classical lessons is like recreational math meets some kind of cyberpunk gematria. Highly recommend.

You can build your own modules from PCBs too, if you're handy with a soldering iron. It really does have some cyberpunk vibes.
