1. You need to get a doctor to write you a prescription for it. Any doctor will do, even your Primary Care Physician (PCP).
2. Medicare will only pay for it if you are diabetic (HbA1c > 7.5%).
3. You can reduce your out-of-pocket payment for it by using Pharmacy Discount Coupons from GoodRx and the type.
